There sadly hasn’t been much hope from the tragedy that is flight MH17 — but a new birth will provide some joy for one couple.
Violet May Maslin was born to Australian parents Anthony Maslin and Marite Norris on Wednesday, bringing “love and light, hope and joy” according to the family’s statement sent via the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The couple lost three children and Norris’ father when Malaysia Airlines flight 17 was brought down by a missile on Jul. 17, 2014 over eastern Ukraine.
“Our family was torn apart when MH17 was blown out of the sky by the violent anger of a nationalist missile,” the statement read. Read more…
