For the first time ever, Netflix is taking some of its programming to broadcast TV.
On Tuesday, the Los Gatos-based streaming giant and Univision announced an unprecedented broadcast deal that will bring season one of Netflix’s Narcos to the TV chanel.
The Golden Globe-nominated show, which follows stories of drug kingpins in the late 1980s, will air on the network later this year ahead of its season 2 debut on Netflix.
As part of the deal, Netflix’s new Spanish-language series Club de Cuervos will also make its way to TV, airing on UniMás, Univision’s youth-skewing network.
