The Golden State Warriors just made NBA history with Western Conference Finals win

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 96-88 on Monday night to win the NBA’s Western Conference Finals and become only the tenth team in league history to overcome a 3 game deficit in the playoffs. 

A week ago, the Thunder were up three games to one in the best-of-seven series after a 118-94 thumping of the Warriors. But, led by Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, the Warriors captured the next three games, including Monday night’s Game 7 in Oakland to secure a spot in the NBA Finals. 

League MVP Steph Curry led all scorers with 36 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Klay Thompson, who had a Yoda-socks-inspired 41 point performance in Game 6, contributed 21 points and 5 rebounds in the conference-clinching effort.
