LONDON — On June 23 people across the UK will go to the polls to answer a very significant question with many consequences: Should they “Brexit” and leave the European Union or vote to stay?
The question poses further questions, which have been taken up by both the Remain and the Leave camps. Would the country be better off, or poorer, by leaving the political and economic union it joined some 43 years ago? Would it be free of bureaucratic burdens? What would life be like? What sort of deals could the country negotiate should it depart?
