This is getting out of control.
Ev Williams, the cofounder and former CEO of Twitter, appears to have had his Twitter account compromised briefly on Wednesday.
A group by the name of OurMine — the same group that claimed credit for compromising Mark Zuckerberg’s social media accounts this weekend — took credit for hacking Williams’ account in a tweet, which was deleted minutes later.
Williams did not immediately respond to request for comment.
Twitter said it does not comment on individual accounts, but noted in a statement: “A number of other online services have seen millions of passwords stolen in the past several weeks. We recommend people use a unique, strong password for Twitter.” Read more…
