A former Stanford student recently sentenced to six months in jail for three counts of felony sexual assault is likely to serve just half that time.
Brock Turner, 20, could have served 14 years in jail for his crimes. The prosecution recommended six years. But Turner is set to be released on Sept. 2, according to online records, three months after he was booked on June 2.
The reduced sentence wasn’t unexpected. County inmates often serve half of their sentence length if they maintain a record of good behavior. Read more…
