An anonymous bidder has committed to paying $3,456,789 for a lunch with the “Oracle of Omaha” and investor extraordinaire Warren Buffett. 

The bidder can bring up to six friends to meet the legendary philanthropist, who is regarded as one of the most successful investors in the world. The meal was auctioned off on eBay, and will be held at Smith & Wollensky, a steakhouse in New York City.

The proceeds from the auction will benefit Glide, a charity dedicated to helping the homeless and poor in San Francisco. This is the 17th year in a row that Mr. Buffett has donated his time to the organization, and the second year that the winning bid was over $3.4 million.
