With a bit of water, some paint and a lot of skill, Turkish artist Garip Ay creates beautiful renditions of Vincent Van Gogh paintings. Ay paints upon the water and transfers the image to paper. 

The style is called “ebru,” a traditional Turkish technique. It is quite a mesmerizing process, and Ay’s YouTube account is full of amazing examples.
