Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy led Democrats in a nearly-15-hour gun control filibuster on Wednesday and into Thursday morning, and he seemed to save the most emotional testimony until the final eight minutes.

Murphy, who visited Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, after a gunman murdered more than two dozen teachers and students there in 2012, introduced those watching his filibuster to a six-year-old boy named Dylan Hockley, and his teacher, Anne Marie Murphy, both of whom were killed at the school on the day of the attack.
