One North Carolina mom is doing her part to embrace the messier elements of post-birth recovery.
Amanda Bacon on Wednesday shared a photo taken from her hospital room after giving birth. In it, she’s topless and clad in an adult diaper.
“This is motherhood; it’s raw, stunning, messy and freaking hilarious all rolled into one,” the mother of two captions the photo.
“Having a baby is a beautiful experience, and the realities of postpartum life aren’t spoken enough about,” Bacon said before questioning why some might feel uncomfortable with the photo. Read more…
