The Bastille Day celebration in Nice, France was shattered late Thursday evening when a truck plowed into a crowd, injuring scores and possibly resulting in multiple deaths.
The mayor of Nice sent a tweet saying it’s possible “tens” are dead.
Later, speaking to local media, one local official, the sub-prefect of the Alpes-Maritime, said “at least” 30 people were killed and that the driver of the truck was killed by police.
According to Nice-Matin, a French newspaper, the incident occurred just after 10 p.m., just after a fireworks display. Read more…
