Men, women, children and people of all types donned bright red dresses Saturday to celebrate “The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever.”
Sung by enigmatic British singer Kate Bush, the song “Wuthering Heights” debuted in 1978 and the music video, in which Bush cavorts on the moors in a billowing red gown, has become a classic.
Groups gathered in parks in London, Berlin and Madison, inspired by the inaugural 2013 event when around 300 people danced to the song in Brighton in the UK.
The Sydney event invited participants to “dance freely and merrily, frollicking and bounding across the grasses,” while in Melbourne, organisers told Agence France-Presse around 2,000 people took part. Read more…
