SINGAPORE — Japanese messaging app Line has kicked off celebrations for the island nation’s 51st birthday with a brand new animated sticker set coming.
Singapore’s National Day falls on Aug. 9 and commemorates its independence from Malaysia in 1965. This is not Line’s first Singapore-themed sticker set, but is the first edition to be animated.
Called “Happy National Day, Singapore”, the stickers feature the adorable Line Friends characters Brown, Cony and Sally in what can only be described as truly Singaporean scenarios.
In one sticker, the mascots are playing Singaporeans’ fave sport: soccer. The country’s very own mascot, the Merlion, also makes an appearance in this set of stickers. Read more…
