LOS ANGELES — Superhero reboot The Tick is headed to Amazon as part of its fall comedy pilot season.
The show — a co-production with Sony Pictures Television — follows the costumed Tick in a spoof of comic book superheroes.
Ben Edlund, who created the comic book character as well as the 2001 Fox comedy and 1994 animation series, is signed on as writer and executive producerWally Pfister (The Dark Knight) serves as director.
The Tick stars Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy), Griffin Newman (Vinyl), Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen), Valorie Curry (House of Lies), Yara Martinez (Jane the Virgin) and Brendan Hines (Scorpion). Read more…
