Warner Bros. Pictures delivered a welcome surprise Saturday at Comic-Con by releasing the first trailer for Wonder Woman.
Set during WWI, the trailer takes us to Wonder Woman’s (Gal Gadot) home island of Themyscira where the first man she’s ever seen (Chris Pine) is recovering from a plane crash.
What follows is an amazing collage of imagery of Wonder Woman kicking ass, wending her way through WWI-era culture (keep your eyes peeled for the amazing sword dinner dress!) and delivering a few awesome lines that hit all the right female empowerment notes.
Marvel succeeded by taking us way back in time with Captain America. And if this trailer is any indication, Wonder Woman might be another winning dive into the past on the shoulders of a fascinating superhero character. Read more…
