Marvel mutants TV series 'Legion' debuts in Comic-Con trailer

Legion technically exists in its own timeline, unaffiliated with the Fox-brewed X-Men movies. But it’s a show about mutants that takes its title from a Marvel mutant who’s the son of Charlies Xavier, better known as X-Men founder Professor X.

Dan Stevens stars as David Haller, a.k.a. Legion, a schizophrenic man with mutant powers. If he’s anything like his comic book counterpart, Haller’s multiple personalities each control a different facet of his abundant powers. The show also features Rachel Keller and Jean Smart, who both appeared on Fargo, as well as Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton (The League) and Bill Irwin (Law & Order: SVU).
