Upcoming Marvel/Netflix series Luke Cage, Iron First and The Defenders were all the subject of separate trailers at Comic-Con. Thank you, Comic-Con, for all that you have given us.
The Cage trailer (above) is, unsurprisingly, the most complete look, given that the series debuts on Sept. 30.
Titular star Michael Colter wades through hailstorms of bullet fire — he’s super strong and his skin is unbreakable — as he beats villainous ass to the strains of Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.” It looks like the series will stick with the “street-level superhero” vibe that’s characterized the Marvel/Netflix offerings so far.
