Dion Leonard is a happy man again. The Australian athlete has been reunited with Gobi, the dog that he adopted after she accompanied him for part of a marathon in China.
The two met each other during the Gobi March 4 Desert Race in June. Leonard told reporters that he first noticed the dog running alongside him on the second day of the race and they bonded when he carried Gobi across a few rivers. By the end of the race, Leonard said that he was so taken by the dog that he decided to adopt her.
Then, it was reported that Gobi had gone missing after Leonard had returned home to raise funds to pay for the dog’s adoption process. Read more…
