The trailer of Google’s documentary film India in a Day ends with the credit “filmed by you”. Due to release in 2016, it is the result of a crowd-sourced campaign that invited Indians to narrate their stories by filming a single day in their life on 10 Oct., 2015.

Co-produced by filmmakers Ridley Scott and Anurag Kashyap, and directed by Richie Mehta, the film features young Indians talking about their hopes and dreams, and the role of Internet and technology in their lives. The team received over 8,000 submissions amounting to hundreds of hours of footage, which have been shortlisted for the feature-length film. Read more…
