WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton on Monday fired back at a young voter who questioned her honesty and why she was losing to Bernie Sanders with young voters, telling him she’s been pushing for progress since before he was born.
“I’ve been around a long time. People have thrown all kinds of things at me,” she fired back during a town hall in Des Moines, Iowa, the final time she’ll be at the same event as Sanders before next Monday’s crucial caucuses.
“But if you’re new to politics, if it’s the first time you’re really paying attention, you go ‘Oh my gosh, look at all of this.’ And you have to say to yourself, ‘Why are they throwing all of that?’ Well, I’ll tell you why.
