Just when you thought a great stadium sausage was as good as it gets, here comes a wiener topped with actual golden flakes.
This sausage comes courtesy of Centerplate, the food service provider who will be handling the concessions at this year’s Super Bowl, held at Levi’s Stadium.
This upper-crust sausage was developed by chefs Santana Diaz and Dinari Brown. It is composed of a custom blend of 50 ingredients (there’s pork in there so this isn’t your standard Hebrew National frankfurter), served on a poppy seed bun with sautéed bell peppers and topped with — yes, that’s right — flakes of actual gold.
