LONDON — An advert featuring a middle aged man called Dave dancing down the street in denim shorts and high-heeled shoes was the most complained about clip of 2015, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has revealed.
Moneysupermarket.com’s advert, which many thought was “overtly sexual,” received 1,513 complaints. However, the ASA didn’t agree, and ruled that the ad was not in breach of the Advertising Code.
Protein World’s infamous “beach body ready” posters also featured in the ASA’s countdown of top 10 controversial ads, with 380 people submitting formal complaints about it. Read more…
