“Geometry matters down in Louisiana,” sings a group of seventh graders in New Orleans.
Their teacher, Ciera Paul, posted a video to Facebook showing her classroom singing about the importance of math, to the tune of Beyoncé’s “Formation.”
Paul told ABC News that her students practiced the song five minutes per day over a two-week period before she filmed the performance.
“It’s just something out of the box that the kids can relate to,” she said. “The kids are looking for something that’s fun and enjoyable and adding a little song or dance makes [the lesson] more memorable for them.” Read more…
