Singapore fan version of 'Mirror's Edge' re-creates the game in thrilling first-person

With “Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst” due to launch soon, a Singapore fan has managed to make a pretty convincing version of the parkour video game in real life.

Ambry Nurhayati’s version is clearly inspired by the trailer for the game, and you can see the filmmaker clambering up tall landmarks in her video to re-create the kinds of thrilling views the game itself has become famous for.

The 21-year-old parkour instructor told Mashable it took a day to shoot the footage, but post-production on sound took several weeks. 

She wouldn’t say if the heart-stopping bridge footage at the start ran afoul of any safety regulations, but would only say: “It might be real, or it might not be. A magician never reveals his secret. It could probably just be my video editing skills.” Read more…
