Both Netflix and Quickflix started out their corporate lives mailing DVDs, but only one still has a vaguely healthy bank balance.
On Tuesday, Quickflix, an Australian media company that provides a subscription streaming platform, as well as a DVD service, announced it was going into voluntary administration via a statement released to the Australian stock exchange.
Quickflix has been facing headwinds for awhile now, competing not only with Netflix, which launched in Australia in early 2015, but homegrown streaming options, Stan and Presto. Read more…
