NBC’s new fall schedule … looks a lot like its old falls schedule. And the network couldn’t be happier about that.
Despite having some real estate left open by the annual string of May cancellations, NBC is only doing minor adjustments to its fall schedule, with plans to launch much of its new shows in midseason.
“We just feel like if we needed to launch 8 or 10 shows in the fall, we would have … we just didn’t need to do that,” NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt told reporters Sunday.
The move, of course, is interesting considering NBC has an Olympics-sized launching pad just months away, but the prevailing message here is: If ain’t broke, why fix it. Read more…
