Vice reports an interesting annual competition held in Seoul, South Korea, that involves participants sitting down and doing absolutely nothing.
The “Space Out” competition, created by South Korean visual artist WoopsYang in 2014, held its third edition in May at the city’s Ichon Hangang Park.
According to WoopsYang, the competition was intended to encourage mobile-addicted, stressed out South Koreans to slow down.
“I was suffering from burnout syndrome at the time, but would feel extremely anxious if I was sitting around doing nothing, not being productive in one way or another,” the artist told Vice. Read more…
