Garry Marshall, the producer, writer-director and sometimes actor who created Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley and Pretty Woman, has died. He was 81.
Marshall died Tuesday night of complications from pneumonia following a stroke at a hospital in Burbank, California, Mashable has confirmed with his publicist, Michelle Bega.
The Hollywood legend made a name for himself in the 1970s creating such iconic TV sitcoms as Happy Days and Mork & Mindy. Later, he became known for directing box office hits including Pretty Woman and The Princess Diaries.
