Every day people are coming up with new and interesting ways to pop the big question. Sending a ring to space, however, is a new one.
Using a perfectly good wooden spatula and a weather balloon as a spaceship, Shawn Wright rigged his fiancé’s engagement ring to the vessel. He also, of course, attached a trusty GoPro in order to capture the whole thing on video. At the end of the clip, he asks his then-girlfriend to marry him
Wright later stated in the comments that he was able to track down the ring once it fell to earth using a GPS tracker.
