LAS VEGAS — You really can’t blame smartphone makers for not building Windows 10 Mobile phones, what with the platform’s puny 1.7% worldwide market share according to the most recent Gartner numbers.
But on Monday at CES, Acer, one of the few companies still keeping the faith with Microsoft’s mobile strategy, announced the Liquid Jade Primo, its new flagship Windows 10 mobile smartphone with Continuum support.
We can’t say it’s the hottest smartphone — it looks like an Android phone circa 2011 — but its specs look fairly capable. The Liquid Jade Primo has a 5.5-inch full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution AMOLED screen made from Gorilla Glass, which Acer says supports “100% of the NTSC color gamut and provides 176-degree wide-viewing angles.” Read more…
