Senior Process Engineer (Production Department)
Job Specification:
- To ensure all Government legislation on Safety and Environmental and Human Resource requirements is strictly conformed to at all times
- Integrate all the quality related activities into quality system that provides continual improvement in the control of quality, defect prevention, reduction of variation at minimum cost
- Increase production yield to the maximum level by reducing wafer defects and rejects
- Plan, execute, measure and ensure the achievement of all goals and targets as set by Head of Department / Manager
- Formulate test plan to achieve those objectives fully
- Implementation the test plan (arrange and co-ordinate with the relevant department for the use of whatever facilities or machines)
- Compare actual performance with the objectives and standards – determine the gap
- Take the necessary actions to close the gap and make the necessary improvements
- Perform daily manpower planning, allocation and supervision of production planning to ensure smooth running of production process
- Responsible to customers’ complaints related to products quality and ensure appropriate actions and measures are taken to address the issues raised
- Initiate investigation and respond to customers complaint on product quality on a timely basis till customer satisfaction by using 8D TOPS and Root Cause Analysis techniques
- Troubleshoot persistent quality problems by analyzing the product quality data broken down by product line
ACHIEVEMENTS
Lead production team in Quality Improvement Plan (QIP):
- Increase process area yield using Six Sigma & SPC method by reducing stain defect percentage from 1.0% to 0.30%
- Trouble shooting area problem using 8D Problem solving method
- Reverse process evaluation to improve current process flow and reduce chemical cost
- Optimization of Etching process using Design of Experiment (DOE) method
- Minimize production yield gap between S.E.H sister plants
- Determine layout for new machines by considering the work flow and process efficiencies
- Ensure all required periodic report e.g: weekly and monthly are compiled accurately and timely for distribution
- Production capacity improvement by monitoring process cycle time
- Team leader in setting up and implementing process FMEA, APQP, PPAP
- Involve in risk assessment study for chemical processes
- Team leader in setting up and implementing Safety FMEA and HAZOP for Isopropanol alcohol (IPA) overhead tank
Lead production team in Cost Saving project:
- Sourcing second supplier for several production parts e.g: MAE etchant, polishing pad, sandblast powder, etc
- Improve slurry and acid ratio for production easiness
- Reduce etchant usage consumption and environmental sludge waste by increasing silicon content in MAE etchant from 10.5 g/l to 12.0 g/l. Thus, less fresh MAE being dosed-in and lead to lower chemical cost
- “Alkaline etching” process combination for production easiness: corporation with machine maker, Zenkyo in Japan
- Merging etching cleaning line for chemical saving project. The impact to wafer quality due to merging cleaning line is then being solved.
Plant Internal Auditor for ISO/TS 16949:2002
- Conduct QMS and MPA audit at SE.H Ulu Klang and S.E.H Shah Alam, Malaysia
