CREATIVITY STATION

The program is academically known as the “International Engineering Service Learning” also known as “Creativity Station”, where students are exposed to activities that foster creativity and innovation as well as apply the knowledge learned in educational institution for resolving inter-disciplinary local community issues. Students are also exposed to international work culture among the four countries, namely Korea, Malaysia, Japan and Indonesia.

In 2015, UTM has participate the fourth time in this program, where the first “Creativity Station” was held in Surabaya, Indonesia on January 25, 2013 – 3 February 2013 and August 20 to August 30, 2013. The third time in Bali, Indonesia on 11- August 22, 2014 and fourth in Punggai, Johor on August 17-24, 2015. For the three previous program, UTM has sent 30 students from various faculties of engineering like Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. In a project conducted with students from Pusan National University, Korea (PNU) and (Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya, Indonesia (PENS), various projects have been designed and developed in several villages in Surabaya and Bali for use in the local community. The results of this project have been recorded and published as an Engineering Service Corps. Based on the benefits derived from UTM student participation is very positive, Centre of Engineering Education (CEE) -UTM want to continue to work with Pusan ​​National University, Innovation Centre for Engineering Education (PICEE) for the successful implementation of this program.
