Foodi International Conference was held on 7-9 Nov 2022 at Menara Razak, UTM Kuala Lumpur, organized by AHIBS and FoBERG, UTM. Participated by various researchers from ERASMUS members and about 40 presentations on food innovations and technology.

The 1st International Conference on Challenges in Sustainable Utilization and Management of Bioresources (IBA-SUMBio) 2022 was successfully organized by UTM on the 8th to 10th August 2022, officiated by Vice Chancellor of UTM Datuk Prof. Dr. Ts. Ahmad Fauzi Ismail. This conference was participated by 80 presenters from various countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, India and China.

My journey towards PE has been a long and tough one. It started in 2017 when I did my 12 months industrial attachment with Optimal Systems Engineering Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru. My mentor was Prof. Ir. Dr. Sharifah Rafidah Wan Alwi (my best friend and colleague in UTM). After finishing the attachment it took me a while to register as a chartered engineer from Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) UK in 2020. I got the Chartered Engineer in November 2020 and then submitted my application to the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM) for professional engineer (PE). I took the examination for code of ethics in February 2022 and got the official PE certification which entitled for an “Ir.” title in front of my name (woohoo!) in June 2022. Alhamdulillah.

21 March 2022 marked the date of my new appointment at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. Now I am joining the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering (ChEE).

21 Oct 2021 – Sharing session with research students in Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya for the Researcher to Research Student Enrichment Program (R2SEP). A nice session and very active participants. Semoga bermanfaat.
