The International Seminar on Mathematics in Industry (ISMI) is an excellent platform for mathematical scientists and industry practitioners to share their experiences in handling real industrial problem through mathematical ideas and tools. The first seminar was held four years ago in 2013 and has proven to be a resounding success. Following ISMI-2013, closer ties between mathematical scientists and industry partners in Malaysia have been forged through various project collaborations.
This year, UTM-Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (UTM-CIAM) and UTM Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science in collaboration with Oxford Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (OCIAM) invite mathematical scientists, engineers and industrial practitioners to join us at ISMI-2017. The theme of the conference is Industrial Mathematics For Innovation and Commercialization. This two-day event includes lectures, research paper presentations and the Malaysian Mathematics In Industry Workshop (MMIW2017).
