On this upcoming August 2018, Institute of Health Analytics (IHA) will collaborate with Centre for Intelligent Signals & Imaging Research (CISIR) of Universiti Teknologi Petronas to organize Summer School Medical Imaging 2018. This five days summer school that will be held at UTP itself on 6 until 10 August will focus on all aspects of the Computer Aided Diagnosis applied to medical and biomedical data.

 

 

 

 

 

It will cover the concept of medical and biomedical image acquisition up to the decision level by revisiting the states of the art “hand crafted” machine learning approaches such as classifier ensemble, Neural networks, logistic regression, KNN applied to HoG, SiFT or SURF features and will finish with the most recent techniques such as Convolution Neural Networks or auto encoders. The school will also have some “hands on sessions” as well as some real results obtained will be shown by the various speakers.

 

 

 

 

 

Our target audiences would be biomedical researchers, scientists, engineers, postgraduate students, academician and industry researchers. If you are from our target groups or simply interested in said mentioned areas, I highly recommended you to join this Summer School because there are a lot can be gained and it would definitely benefit you in the future. This Summer School comprises of 5 days with theory and Hands-on practice using Matlab and Python programming practice as well. The course can be divided into three Modules ; especially designed for those who want to attend a specific Module.

Module 1 : Principles of Imaging and Machine Learning (1 Day ,6^th Aug ).

Module 2 : Introduction to Python programming and applications in Machine Learning (2 Days 7^th -8^th August )

Module 3 : Deep Learning and its applications in Medical imaging(1 Day, 9^th August )
