I chose to join PERINTIS and IKRAM Akademia society to expand my circle of acquaintances in academia. I knew PERINTIS from Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. ‘Athif (SKE) who is the current chairman of PERINTIS and I heard about IKRAM Akademia from PM Ts. Dr. Amir Syahir (UPM) and currently holds the role of vice-chairman of IKRAM Akademia. I don’t know if I myself can contribute to society, or I am not sure if I can reap the rewards by joining them (perhaps in the future). To me, it is just a small step in a knowledge-sharing journey in the group and as a duty of God’s slave. There’s an African proverb saying:
