Program Geoinformasi, Fakulti Alam Bina dan Ukur (FABU), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) telah menganjurkan Kolokium Makmal Satelit FABU, UTM – JTS Sarawak dan Program Cerapan Langit Malam. Sesi kolokium ini dijalankan sebagai platform untuk memupuk jalinan kerjasama UTM dengan Jabatan Tanah san Survei Sarawak (JTS) bagi melengkapkan konsep synergy iaitu menjalin kerjasama dan kolaborasi bersama industri serta perkongsian pencapaian semasa oleh Jabatan Tanah dan Survei Sarawak dan juga FABU.
An internship @ industrial training is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest. It gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. Normally, students will be assigned for at least ten weeks in the industry or organisation in order for them to apply their theoretical knowledge in the actual career world. Industrial training is one of the main components in the curriculum. Students must pass the industrial training in order to be awarded the certificate. During industrial training, students will be placed at selected organisations for a predetermined duration of time in order for them to obtain exposure to the career world and also for them to be able to relate what has been learned theoretically with the real application. At the same time, students will be equipped with the necessary preparation for working life such as the exposure to numerous aspects of social, interaction, cultural and work processes in career world.
Lebih daripada 10,000 pengunjung telah membanjiri Stadium Tertutup Larkin sempena Karnival Minggu Sains Negara (MSN) Peringkat Negeri Johor pada 19 dan 20 Ogos 2023 anjuran MOSTI dengan kerjasama Kerajaan Negeri Johor dan Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Karnival selama dua (2) hari itu dilihat sebagai salah satu platform yang mampu menarik minat pelajar-pelajar untuk meminati bidang sains, teknologi dan inovasi (STI).
