For instance, many classy survey calculations and tedious computations can be attempted by using automated service-oriented programs, either in web-based apps or mobile apps. Considering there are no publicly available coordinate conversion tools and apps; that comply with the Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (DSMM) standards.
This study has created mCOORD mobile app for coordinate system conversion in Malaysia. Users can easily download from the google play store and operate it using their handy gadgets.
This newly developed mobile app works in two ways: firstly, it transforms a pair of defined coordinates into their relevant coordinate reference systems in Peninsular Malaysia; and secondly, it allows immediate viewing of the location in an interactive OpenStreetMap (OSM).
Finally, we would like to thank the Akademi Geomatik; Jurukur.com and DoReMiLab for contributing in this mobile app development and all their technical support to make it a success.
