SLAJ 1222 JAPANESE LANGUAGE 2

This course is specially designed to equip students with the skills of learning Japanese Language at a higher level. Students will be exposed to the content of vocabulary and sentence structures which prepare them towards the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Level N5. Each lesson will be presented with the elements of Y3K: Yomi (Reading), Kaki (Writing) –Katakana & Kanji, Kiku (Listening) and Kaiwa (Speaking). Learners will be given opportunities and exposure to Japanese Language in the context of communication with elements of culture. By the end of the course students will be able to read and write New Year Greetings and an essay about their daily life.

SLAJ 1322 JAPANESE LANGUAGE 3

This course will equip students with the Japanese Language grammar and communication skills at a level nearer to N5. Students will be exposed to the content of vocabulary, sentence structures, grammar and listening practice which will enable them to sit for Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) level N5. Each lesson will be presented with the elements of Y3K formula which consists of Yomi (Reading), Kaki (Writing) Hiragana, Kiku (Listening) and Kaiwa (Speaking). By the end of this course, students will be able to read and write simple emails,memos,letters and essays.

ULAJ 6013 JAPANESE LANGUAGE 1 FOR POSTGRADUATE

This course is specially designed to equip postgraduates with the basic skills of learning Japanese Language. It uses the Y3K formula consisting of: Yomi (Reading), Kaki(Writing)-Hiragana & Katakana, Kiku(Listening) and Kaiwa (Speaking). Cultural elements will be incorporated in each lesson and students will be required to do a presentation about Japanese culture and work ethics. By the end of this course, the postgraduates will be able to read, write and converse in basic Japanese Language and this will benefit them in their future career.

JLPT ( N1 – N5 ) SPECIALLY TAILORED COURSES FOR UTM STDS

These lessons are offered as extra lectures outside normal lecture hours. These courses provide students with a fast path in mastering the elements of JLPT exams. Being the JLPT JB test center, UTM students form the core of the test candidates.

MLAC 1153   COMMUNICATION/LANGUAGE/CULTURE

This course for Language Academy master students, looking into the connection between language and culture and how it affects communication. Students will be introduced to various comparisons between Japanese , English and Bahasa Melayu.

COMPARATIVE EDUCATION: BUNKYO UNIVERSITY JAPAN                                                                                         

This course gives Bunkyo university students from the faculty of education an opportunity to understand the uniqueness of Malaysian Education system and compare it between Japanese system. Including teacher training at both countries.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION : CHUO UNIVERSITY JAPAN 

 Chuo students were exposed to Malaysian education system and main focus on languages learning including the exposure to foreign languages in schools and higher learning institutions of Malaysia.
