Industrial Training (SKMM 3915/SKMO is offered in the third year, during the long semester break (Semester 3). It is a compulsory course for students of Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from all programs (SKMM/SKMB/SKMP/SKMI/SKMV/SKMO/SKMT). Industrial Training with a 5 credit course exposes students to the real work setting in various industries for 12 weeks. The course utilizing 200-hour Student Learning Time (SLT). The students are placed in industries that best suit their area of study. It is an experiential learning that requires the students to learn the process and be able to apply the knowledge acquired in class in the actual industrial setting. The knowledge acquired during practical training may be used later in final year project and final year courses as well as to equip them for future job.
