Dr. Muhalim Bin Mohamed Amin is a senior lecturer in the School of Computing, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He also currently plays a role as the Programme Coordinator for BSc Computer Science (Computer Networks and Security). He joined UTM as a tutor with a computer science qualification from the year 2000 until now. He was a degree holder of a BSc in Computer Science in 1999 from UTM and an MSc in Computer System Design from the University of Machester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), the United Kingdom in 2002 before completing his Ph.D. in Computer Science, UTM in 2021. His interests are related to network communication, computer networking, and security. As an academician, he involves in the research activity as a member of the Information Assurance and Security Research Group (IASRG) with the main research areas including Cyber Security (Malware, Hacking, Digital Forensics, Intrusion Detection, etc.), Multimedia Security (Cryptography, Digital Signal Processing, Authentication, etc.), and Security & Disaster Management (Security Management, Disaster, Audit trail, Security Policies, etc.). He published some papers related to the research through a few project grants.
