The Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) offers a Post-Doctoral Scheme to appoint PhD graduate researchers who can conduct full-time research activities towards excellence in research and innovation in niche research areas to produce scientific literature. The scheme is open to local and international candidates who hold a PhD from a recognized university and have experience in conducting research and producing at least two papers in indexed journals as First or Corresponding Author. The candidate must be within five years after completing a PhD from a recognized university and must have English Language Proficiency requirement for those candidates with non-English PhD Thesis or Non-UTM graduates of (minimum TOEFL 600 or IELTS minimum band 6.5) or equivalent.

In addition, The Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) also offers several scholarship and grant opportunities for master students, including UTM Young Scholars Grant, UTM National Postgraduate Fund, UTM Zamalah Scholarship and others. To apply for these scholarships and grants, interested students should visit the UTM School of Graduate Studies website or the UTM Admission website for more information on eligibility criteria, application procedures, and deadlines. Other than that, prospective students can also apply for grants that are open through the lecturer’s research grant.
