I have over 10 years of industrial experience in network and server infrastructure, specializing in ensuring network and application security, performance, and reliability. My role encompassed critical tasks such as monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network and security devices, including Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), SSL VPNs, Load Balancers, and Content Filters. I played a pivotal role in responding to and mitigating cybersecurity threats, as well as leading penetration testing initiatives by analyzing reports and addressing vulnerabilities, which significantly improved system security.
My expertise extends to server infrastructure, where I managed complex Windows Server environments across multiple versions. This included troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Servers, and Virtual Machine clusters, as well as performing operating system upgrades, database migrations, and SAN storage configurations. I collaborated with vendors to design and deploy server clusters, optimize virtual machine performance, and ensure seamless system migrations. These experiences have provided me with a strong foundation in both network security and server, enabling me to tackle complex technical challenges effectively in the dynamic field of cybersecurity.
In October 2022, I joined Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) as a Lecturer, which has allowed me to pursue my passion for cybersecurity research and share my knowledge and experience with the academic and research community.
