Background
I am an ESL teacher at a secondary school in Kulai, Johor. I have been teaching English for the past three years in a rural educational setting, and am developing my expertise at teaching English in a rural context. I have been involved in several drama in education projects, as part of a PhD research in the field of applied drama in English language learning. This teaching and research experience has made me interested to explore the possibilities of teaching using applied drama, especially within a rural context, in the 21st century.
