Area of research: Health Communication, Media Linguistics and Second Language Processing
My major research interest is health communication. I completed my PhD in 2019, in the area of Language and Communication, with the focus on breast cancer patients/survivors’ discourse on media.
I am also interested in researching Second Language Processing. My MA research focused on ESL learners’ grammatical processing from the Processability Theory perspective. Specifically, I looked into the language processing of adverbials among Malay ESL learners at the tertiary level.
