RoboKar Exhibition for Faculty of Computing UTM

Kluang, 10 May 2025 – A RoboKar demonstration provided by the Faculty of Computing, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), was held among many exhibitors during the Sekolah Menengah Sains Sembrong Open Day in Kluang.

Four researchers — Nurul Nazihah Jamal, Nurul Huda Nor Din, Lee Jin Yun, and Nadirah Mohamad — showcased how students can learn programming through RoboKar. Students had the opportunity to hold the robot, explore its components and launch the RoboKar on the displayed track. The researchers also conducted a survey to gather students’ opinions and knowledge about computing.

Later, the researchers joined the opening ceremony, where Nurul Nazihah represented Prof. Dr. Dayang Abang Jawawi to receive a token of appreciation from the School Headmaster, honoring the RoboKar team’s dedication to promoting knowledge and innovation. The school also unveiled a new educational garden project, designed to support STEM learning through real-world agricultural. The researchers also took the opportunity to visit the students’ booths and participate in voting for the best project. At the end of the exhibition, the entourage was escorted to the dining hall for lunch, concluding the day’s activities.
