It is a must for any lecturer in Research University to have a research group. It is where we can gather a few individuals in similar/related interest areas into one group. As my principle, the background in the past is not important. The vision is what the future holds. In the era of technology, many fields advance rapidly, and to a few that still maintain as the old ways will be left behind. It is like a stream of water that will be polluted if it stops flowing. So, being stagnant is not an option. Moving forward, I decided to join BioInspira (a multidisciplinary research group) to expand my research interest. Although the group is barely related to my past background, I believe that should not be a concern as what Nike tagline says:
✔️ Just do it.
