My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that all students have the right to quality education. By quality education, it means that they are facilitated by their teachers, have access to quality learning resources, allowed to interact with their friends while learning, and emotionally supported. With the balanced of these elements, students could have a meaningful learning experience.
In order to do so, I, myself have to play the role as the learning experience designer. My ground myself a lot from the works of Community of Inquiry which highlights the importance of cognitive presence, social presence and affective presence – all to design a meaningful learning environment.
As much as I can, I provide immediate feedback to scaffold my students with their learning inquiries, create a safe environment to talk about anything that matters to them, while also making sure they are always on track with learning.
..and as such, it gives me a great level of satisfaction to be able to provide such environment to my students..
