SYNOPSIS
Project estimating techniques and cost control is an essential project management technique that can be utilized to improve project performance. It is one of the knowledge areas as per PMBOK guideline. This course is designed to give an essence of the concepts and techniques of cost estimating and cost control in the engineering & construction. It is suitable for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers those who intend to gain an additional knowledge of cost management in the building engineering services. You will learn the process to quantify the components building services works of construction by according to the Standard Method of Measurement (SMM2) works as itemized in a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) or Specification of Works (SOW). The standard method of measurement 2nd edition (SMM2) set out clearly the rules for measuring quantities from the drawings and schedules created by architects, mechanical & electrical engineers and other members of the design team. The course contents are also emphasizes on the usage of construction measurement to prepare interim and final valuations of the construction works. This 2-day intensive course is both practical and interactive, supplemented with useful course note, real-life case studies and working examples.
