September 5, 2017 by norazreenMuhammad Aizat bin Anuar 2 SBEA, won the first prize in the Malaysian Wood Awards Student Building Category of the prestigious Malaysian Timber Council Silver Jubilee Celebrations held at the Shangri-la Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 26 July 2017. The top award carries with it a Cash Prize of RM2,500.00 and a trophy, and was presented by Dato’ Gooi Hoe Chin, Chairman of the Malaysian Timber Council and witnessed by YB Datuk Sri Mah Siew Keong, Minister of Planttion Industries and Commodities. The Design that won the prize was for a “Cookies” Community Centre, A second Year Design Project Supervised by Dr. Abdul Halim bin Hussein of the Department of Architecture.Filed Under: Awards, Faculty Highlights, Faculty of Built Environment
